I can’t wait to hear new user experiences. I think it would be great for people who have a hard time with carb counting. I think this would be a great pump for elderly type2s new to diabetes/insulin dosing. Unfortunately it will probably be a long time before insurance companies will pay for it. It makes me nervous that people would forget how to do figure insulin doses if their pump fails and have to restart MDI for a period of time. I’m not sure how I’d feel about not being able to give a correction bolus and just trusting the pump to do it all. Lots of interesting pumps on the horizon. Medtronic is in the process of acquiring a patch pump. They want to integrate their 7 day infusion set technology along with their new software algorithm that autocorrects every 5 min. They have submitted a supposed new and improved CGM to the FDA which seems to be their weak link. I wonder if Tandem is going to release a new more aggressive algorithm.
