I believe Colin did get all the required permissions. That said I also don’t care that tunnel lady didn’t.

What health and safety risks is she subjecting her neighbors to by digging on her own property?

He did a video after the first part of the tunnel being built with an inspection.

That being said he’s an engineer he knows how to keep things to code

He is an engineer, not an architect, or even a civil construction engineer. He has noted a few times, he has no idea, and did no calculations, his modus operandi is just to (hopefully) overbuild any requirements of strength. He is probably overbuilding some strength 10x what worst case scenario could be, but it still leaves an avenue for error since he doesnt entirely plan it out fully with simulations.

If the ground shifts and her neighbors yard ends up filling the tunnel, she’s exposing her neighbors to the risk of a sinkhole. Fairly small risk considering the size of the tunnel but still a risk I’d like evaluated by someone competent if I was their neighbor

She lives close to other houses so we’re just taking her at her word that she isn’t undermining any of them. Even if she believes she isn’t, how does she know for sure with no real training?
