I found this IBM Selectric typewriter at a thrift store the other day. Blew the dust out with a leaf blower and some compressed air, cleaned the case, the keys, and wiped down the inside as best I could. It seems to be working well. Not a bad find for $15 USD.
Fine machine. I have one just like it, same color and all. A working Selectric for $15 is a steal! Most of them are so thoroughly gummed up with old grease.

This one is functional now, but it still needs some work. I do feel lucky to have found one that’s not completely ruined.
