Gino Mäder has died at the age of 26 after crashing off the road on a descent during Thursday’s race stage in Switzerland

This is such a sad and needless accident. It’s one thing to end a stage on a summit, but quite another to end it at the bottom of a steep descent. My thoughts are with the rider’s family and all those who knew him.
