I’m a bit worried once the original r/gunners mods take over. Moderating 2 communities on different sites will take a lot. I don’t want c/gunners to become neglected.
Hey @ironeaglebird@lemmy.world, I completely understand the concerns and to be honest, like I mentioned in the transfer tier list thread - I’m a little nervous as well. I’ve shared with the /r/gunners mods my concerns that
splitting their time between two platforms will be difficult
moderating a community of 300k and 300 is quite different. They’ll need to be active participants in this community rather than passive enforcers like they are on /r/gunners.
In the end, this time commitment is something the /r/gunners mods need to assess whether they are willing to do for the better of the community. /c/gunners is literally one of the most active communities on Lemmy - and I believe the most active sports community. @EFG@lemmy.world has been great in encouraging people on Reddit to come here and @Eabryt@lemmy.world is also a mod at the Arsenal women Lemmy community. But if this community is to survive in the long run, we’ll need a driven mod team who will drive engagement on this platform.
I appreciate you addressing my concerns. I guess it got it in my head with not seeing the other mods being very active here.
/c/gunners has kind of exploded compared to some of the similar communities and I would like the continue on that tread. I am glad to see that the mods are encouraging users to come here and seem to be up to the challenge of moderating two platforms.

The original mods are taking over?
