You’re awesome! Dunno, I always paid for reddit because I got value from it and people need to live. I find this an interesting problem and opportunity to define new commons, but the time required to find a longterm solution may go beyond what you’re willing to invest alone.

I already thought about it, but i didn’t come to any conclusion yet, because a federated network only works if there are a bunch of systems working together, the more the better. If there are only a few, the load is very concentrated and we have a few people who have to reach in there pocket to keep the systems running. As of right now, i’m happy to invest something for the community.

I think it’s super you’re doing this, but now it’s in your hands (vs reddit shareholders), for better or worse. The domain, hosting, effort, and liability(?). While we’re at it, we could exploit more new ideas including those for governance. I’m not sure how much I can contribute, my tech know how is limited.
Correct. The cool thing about the fediverse is, if you do not like how i or some other instance owner manages it’s instance, you can register on an other one which suits you better. As i said before, the fediverse is interesting, because there are lots of systems working together and exchanging information. If one goes down, there are plenty of others, which can take over.
There are a lot of topics to consider and make up your mind about, i’m happy to discuss it. As of right now, i try to keep things as simple as possible and as privacy friendly for the user, as possible.
