I feel like the Netherlands will need another generation to compete for anything again.
While these players are good, they’re nowhere near the level of the team that reached that world cup final or even the 3rd placed team in Brazil.
Not sure about generation but it will certainly take a few years to mature the current crop of talents to be the level of trophy contenders. In 4 or 5 years the new crop of players will have been performing on high levels and the overallmaturity and level will possibly be there to really compete.
Hopefully, but for me personally, I don’t see a lot of young players that I am really excited about (except maybe for Xavi Simons).
