Most every form of yoga I have practiced and even taught on several occasions, practice Yoga Nidra.
A notable experience:
… once went early to a cult hot yoga class, confusing it for an ashram. Only intending to meditate.
Unfortunately it was an advanced class that only did energetic ‘Salutation to the Sun’ for the first half. I had been asked to ‘join in’, without any assesment of my capacity or level of fitness. The second half, I practiced only yoga nidra as I was out of breath and sweating and also half dead anyway. I was not prepared to be charged for this NDE but this was the facilitators/franchise owners only interest …
Shameful … had clearly not done any physical exercise except walking for several years. Never went back …
Yep Yoga can be dangerous … Salutation to the Sun incidentally done as a warm up and in the right way is a complete meditation practice … https://beyogi.com/old-school-sun-salutation/
