We all know that Crosbys and Victrolas aren’t great, so what would you recommend for a friend who has started collecting vinyl records?

    A used retro one can be great, might just need a new belt and stylus, both of which are easy to change.

    I had really good luck with my Audio Technica LP60. I bought it used on CraigsList for $20 and then used the hell out of it for like 3 years. 👍

    I’ve upgraded since but that was a good first turntable and I believe they’re like $150 USD or less online.

    I’m not a pro on these things but i have a rega planar 1 that works great and is kind of affordable
