What is the default comment sort? It doesn’t seem to be by time or votes.
Also is there any way to change the way comments are sorted like I can with posts?
EDIT: Found this. It explains how the active and hot sorts work, but it doesn’t go over default sort or changing the sort.
I just realized there is no comment sorting. When lemmy gets bigger and jerobe gets more stable we will see it all. Can’t wait
The default is “Hot.” The algorithm works differently than Reddit, which tends to reward early replies and bury all the newest comments. There are some details about it here: https://join-lemmy.org/docs/en/contributors/07-ranking-algo.html
You can select the sort algorithm right under the reply box.
