Yet because Russia claims Soviet glory and tankies actively shows the current regime reverence as if Putin was a General Secretary, it is rather hard to actually make a distinction between the current authoritarian regime and the one of the Soviets - the fact of the matter is that Russian political culture whether royalist, communist or capitalist doesn’t change.
