FYI I have been using the app Mlem that works with Lemmy on iOS! It’s clean, looks very much like Apollo and very reliable. Highly recommend it.
There is also Jerboa for Android. Very much alpha software, but I like the direction it is going.
I’m using it right now, and while it has rough edges, it works. I see a ton of activity on GitHub, so I think it’ll be improving pretty quickly. I also intend to help out with little annoyances here and there.
Like not able to direct reply to comments in my “inbox”. Please. If you can’t work on that one, could you pass it along to people that might.
Hmm, it works for me? Here’s a screenshot from web (the left arrow button):
And here’s one from Jerboa (the quote bubble w/ dots inside):
The things that annoy me most are network errors (not sure if it retries? Errors seem instant), placement of buttons (the minimize button is right of the user on web), and some settings don’t work in the mobile app (e.g. can’t set my phone to default to subscribed communities only).
If you can show me a screenshot or something of what you’re talking about, I’ll find the right place to report the bug and maybe find some time to contribute a fix.
From my inbox of Jerboa.

Interesting, I see them on mine. I’ll look into the code and see if I can figure out what could be going on.
Btw, how did you install it? I installed from F-Droid, upgraded from 0.0.31 -> 0.0.32, uninstalled and reinstalled from Google Play (version 0.0.33) and all seem to work. Perhaps try upgrading?
I’m on 0.0.33
I’ll try un/re install.
…Jerboa is not alpha software. It’s beta at least. Alpha implies random crashes/minimal functionality.
The devs are calling it alpha themselves.
Well I’m blind. It says it right in the build.
I’ll say this. It’s some of the most polished alpha software I’ve seen in a long time.
Jerboa seems to be constantly flashing thus unusable for me though
Check if there is an update available. The newest version (0.0.33) supposedly comes with a fix for the flashing.
That’s fair. I was going on info from a previous post I read somewhere. Might have been an update post. Edited to add: https://lemmy.sdf.org/post/23250
I’m liking Mlem so far but I’m hoping it takes some design queues from Apollo such as hiding read posts, coloured nested comments and iOS gestures. It’s still in development so here’s hoping.

2700 now! This listing is only the ones who put up their subs on the coordination list. There’s others that aren’t even included.
Check again, already at 2390 in the time it took to make this comment
And growing. What an amazing show of solidarity. Hopefully a good percentage of the millions of users of these subs will find new homes on Lemmy and start afresh.
3060 now. It’s happening
That’s a great site. I wasn’t sure if the subreddits going private really made up that much of reddit, but it must absolutely be just crickets over there (I wouldn’t know, of course I’m just staying here for now).
