I’m checking out Lemmy as a reddit alternative. It’s a little less-refined than Mastodon, but has a lot of promise. Found a few communities I like, but definitely needs more. Gonna start some 😬

For those of you on instances that are struggling - try signing up on another one. I’ve written down a few high level points about how federation works on my instance. The idea was to help new joiners, but this seems somewhat relevant here as well.
