I suppose that would help. The biggest hurdle is finding the best way to host the server. I don’t have any hosting experience except using a hosting site, but I don’t think it would be a good idea to put the burden of paying a hosting site to run our server on someone’s shoulders.
It could be ran on a PC at home, beta servers are super easy to run compared to modern versions. I would do it myself if my ISP didnt force me to buy a business plan to portforward so I can only host through a VPN.
I’ve never attempted a portforward before. Maybe this is the time where I look into it. I hope my ISP doesn’t want to charge me extra. I have Spectrum so we will see.
