It looks like there’s not a language learning community on Lemmy, but we can change that! I hope everyone can post some of their favorite resources, ask questions, and get some discussion going.
If you see any other communities I haven’t already gotten on the sidebar, post them, too! The bigger the language learning ecosystem around here, the better.
It’d be funny if Reddit changing API rules resulted in me playing that one untranslated game via butterfly effect
Awesome! I was waiting for one of these to pop up. Obligatory plug to come join us at japaneselanguage for our Japanese community where I’m hoping we will focus on the language itself a bit more than on any specific study methods but all kinds of content is welcome or course
For communities outside of Lemmy, you might want to add UniLang (https://forum.unilang.org) to the sidebar, although not as active as we once were, we’ve been around for just over two decades already.
I used to use Unilang a lot. Looks like my account is from 2009. I had no idea it was still going, but that’s great to hear. I’ll definitely put it on the sidebar and come check it out.
Cool :) Nice to hear… It’s still going, but much less intensely than in our golden days, which was basically before the rise of centralised social media like Facebook.
Btw, the link in the sidebar is not working, you’ll need to add https:// in front
Fixed! Thanks for pointing that out.
Thanks for making this!
I’m really glad to see this community.
I’d love to swap links with you if you want to be in the sidebar of the community I’m helping out with. It’s Refold or !refold@dataterm.digital
The community is focused specifically on immersion based learning but can be applied to any language. Can’t wait to see where things go for the language learning community.
