Hello,

I haven’t found much on the internet about an issue on loading game with update 8. I’ve ran into this so frequently that it’s pretty much a feature on my installation where after load I’m in a hub with just a xeno zapper in my inventory.

Loading autosave will work as expected, but obviously takes me back a few minutes. Has anyone experienced the same?

I had the same issue when the update first launched. I think it is tied to the new online infrastructure they implemented.

On the title screen, before you load into your game there is an indicator in the lower left showing your connection status. If you wait 5-10 seconds after loading the title screen you will see it show you as connected. Since I’ve started waiting for that before starting my game I haven’t had the issue.

I think the problem is the game hasn’t finished logging you into the various services (Steam and Epic), so it doesn’t have your ID. This causes it to spawn you in a new body. Waiting for it to establish those connections keeps your ID the same and spawns you back in the proper body.

Hope this resolves it for you like it has for me.

Thanks! I’ve been getting notifications about being offline but just brushed it off as I’m playing just with myself and thought that online features doesn’t matter. I’ll definitely try this one out.

I have found the same with my save game. One general question: if I click “leave to desktop”, will this save bevor I quit the game or do I have only the last autosave?

Weird bug. You could just dump your inv to a chest and then save and leave, but this will take too long i would guess.

I could do that, but I generally just wait for the next autosave before quitting.
