Originally established by moderators of r/Philippines as a short term Reddit alternative in response to the blackouts, it quickly took on a life of its own and now operates as a permanent separate community.

Members refer to themselves as either “lemmings”, “lemons” or the few punny titles with an interesting backstory (“sinuka ng Reddit”) such as “phlemmys” and “phlemmings”.

  • For smileys/emoticons, type :h to pull up the extensive list.

  • Miss the old.reddit look? Then go to user Settings and set Theme to “xx Compact”.

  • If you have to link to a Reddit post, please use Teddit.net as much as possible.

  • You can also run it into archive.org or archive.md like https://web.archive.org/<link> or https://archive.md/<link>.

  • When uploading videos, try Streamable.
