From what I can tell, many of the people who are bailing on Biden are the very activists who have been staffing volunteer efforts in past years.

They’ve grown disenchanted from doing so much work just to prop up the DNC pick without making any progress on the initiatives they care about.

I think that’s what Biden’s crisis is all about. His focus on ‘moderates’ has alienated the activists in the party.
