Tim Scott, GOP candidate for president in 2024, dropped out of the race, ending his plans to become the first African-American to secure the Republican nomination.
It’s only a big deal because republicans are bigots. They’re pissed off that they can’t just call him the N word so they decided that since he’s unmarried he must be gay and started attacking him for it with all the subtlety of tornado sirens. Now this goes without saying but being gay is only an “issue” if you’re a bigot… Which brings me back to my original point, Republicans are bigots.

Plus I’m sure many of them still like to put on a “family values” veneer, which I guess still works on millions of people.
Though I guess that veneer just a different look to the bigotry.
