The UN General Assembly called for the 31st time on the United States to end its decades-long trade embargo against Cuba. The non-binding resolution was approved by 187 countries.
Swear to God, it’s just sheer fucking stubbornness that’s keeping the embargo up at this point. It failed, we need to get over it, there’s no sense in reducing both countries’ prosperity for a matter of pride.
The Cuban oligarchy that ran the whole island on slave labor hasn’t gotten their land back yet. Their children have a birthright to recover and their control over Florida still drives the USA’s relationship with Cuba.
