Well, I thoroughly enjoyed that. The wacky love triangle among the villains will probably become pretty interesting.

Never thought about the obsession of Ms. Minutes being a physical entity to be with He Who Remains. That last dialogue at the End of Time feels like Ravonna might be the physical entity of Ms. Minutes. Also, seems like she wanted to be transported to the End of Time to invoke Ms. Minutes out there.

I thought about Von beeing Ms minutes aswell, but she said that she started as a program he played chess with and never had a physical body.

She would also be more jelous of Von if she knew that it would be herself in the future and where did her adorable accent go?

My guess is that Ravonna is either a decendant of he who remains, a love interest or even a variant like sylvie is to loki.

Uh, the variant thing would be interesting as a parallel but also a bit too silly to just repeat it another time the second season.

My hunch is that she is his daughter. The variant they visited would of course not know that.

In the comics she’s his lover. The MCU rarely matches the comics perfectly, but I doubt they’ll go back he daughter route.

Just let the AI out of the box! I liked that small twist in turning Minutes into a proper “character”. She would be scary as the actual villain, one trying to ‘revive’ the actual Kang, trying to mold variants into the version she likes by manipulating events. If she falls, bye bye timeline. She could eventually succeed and Kang gets in power and then you might get a HAL9000 moment maybe…

But back to the point, the pacing seems off somehow. We should know the characters by now and the tensions should manifest but it’s just not hitting the spot for me yet. At least there seems to be a clear story and certain bits are well thought out so hoping it leads somewhere nice.

Much better than the previous episode imo. More action and some really interesting plots started developing

Calling it now. Miss Minute’s “big reveal” that they left about Renslayer is either that she’s a variant that Kang/He Who Remains once was married to/romantically involved with (but he nuked her memory to get out of) or she herself is a female variant of him like Sylvie and Loki.

This was my thought as well. I would prefer her to be an actual variant but I feel like, just based on Jonathan Majors’ status before all the DV stuff, she was written as just a side character to him. But who knows at this point. But the MCU needs more female villains, IMO.

Given her Story in the Comics and the recording that Loki found, I would expect that she was romantically involved with Kang during the Multiversal Wars before the TVA. But we’ll see.

Sorry but awful episode. The writing for Sylvie has completely deteriorated and Jonathan Majors, who normally is a very good actor, was a total misfire. I understand that he’s portraying a variant thus different mannerisms, but this was just too much and too deliberate. I honestly hated every single moment of this episode and I’m losing interest fast. The more questions they introduce without answers the less I care.

It was really last episode that blew me away not this one (though this wasn’t good either). I normally don’t look up writers but I had to see if there was a change between season 1 and 2 because of how different it was. I would not have watched Loki if season 1 was written like this.

I don’t even know how to describe it because I’m not usually critical of writing, but the characters seemed so one dimensional. This new hatred Sylvie has for Loki made no sense, and it seemed simultaneously super passionate and surface level. She flipped her tune in one sentence in that McDonalds scene, I had to rewatch it once or twice because I was so thrown off guard by her shift I had to see if I missed something.

There also seem to be more places where people go way overboard on their character stereotypes (like the one who remains being unable to complete a sentence), or Sylvie being a killer with major bloodlust now after one episode ago swearing off all of this.

I don’t know, I’m not usually a critic, I get this is probably only half coherent and half ramblings, but as a usually casual viewer the shift between season 1 and 2 was so intense.

Jesus, sometimes you see a comment that just makes you feel old, lol.

It comes out at the same time every week. I just…remember that time. We had to or just miss the show completely until it came out on reruns years later.

But for real, I actually use TickTick and set a reminder to make a new discussion thread around the time of airing. Use a todo list app or alarm would probably be the simplest way. I don’t know of any notification function in the D+ app itself.

Either I open the Disney+ app and it tells me in the Banner that there is a new episode, or I see the episode thread on here.

Sometimes I even remember that it was Friday and a new ep must have dropped.
