I mean, if I was born a wild rat I probably wouldn’t have enough self aware cognition to care that my life was objectively shit. I’d be a rat, with my little rat brain and my rat hormones and rat mood regulators, I wouldn’t be happy, but I wouldn’t be depressed either.
