Well i would definitely dress like examples 1 and 2, but i’m not russian nor living there so i’d stand out a bit more. I love russian stuff. Actually had some random person yell at me for being russian once just because i was wearing a thick coat, which is profoundly ignorant but there you go.

Third image looks slightly uncomfortable, i don’t think trousers like those are so good to wear. Looks very work-specific or climate specific.

I can imagine people wearing imagine 1 or 2 in the right cultural context (e.g in russia) and not being given a second glance.

Is the problem that old means its passé

One problem might be that most modern people like their clothes to be washing machine-compatible. They don’t trust thst fine garb will be and they don’t trust that very historical styles like thin linen will be. This even puts a cap on how many people today actually dress fancy day-to-day; in my experience it is only people with really elite jobs who can sustain regular visits to a dry cleaner’s for their suits et cetera.

Also, most people shop for clothes out of convenience - they go to the same department store they last shopped at, they’re in and out as fast as they can. They don’t come across anything historical and then they don’t take the risk of being laughed at or stared at too much by actually wearing some historical fashion.
