      Not really it seems:

Racquel Foran and Jim O’Connor are preparing to open Bevees, a store and lounge that will offer more than 300 types of booze-free products, which will include beer, wine, spirits, liquors and pre-mixed mocktails.

So bar atmosphere and mock/no-alc beers with no hangover. As a regular drinker, sounds like a cool idea actually. I drink because of the atmosphere /social setting /pressure and not necessarily the alcohol.

Most bars have no alc options but they’re often not great, look forward to seeing how they do.

If it’s like anywhere else I’ve seen these types of drinks, it’s just too expensive to be worth it. It’s usually same cost or a couple dollars less.

If it’s not too pricey, then maybe it’ll work.

Pretty sure the cost of rent and staff doesn’t go down with non alcoholic drinks.

It might even be more expensive if they’re not counting on the drunkard crowd to show and drink like crazy.

I’m not big on drinking but TBH the cost of things is also one of the big factors in people not going out so much. I wonder how the mocktails will compare?

The only place I go that has an extensive good “mocktail” lost charges like $15 a piece for what boils down to a fancy tiny juice glass. I completely understand why the idea isn’t taking off.
