Got these before my wife physically dragged me out of the venue to prevent me from buying any more ;)

Group pic above, and here are indiividual shots, filenames are the name of each plant:

Tephrocactus-articulatus.jpg Tephrocactus-articulatus-var-papyracanthus.jpg Cephalocereus-senilis.jpg Neoporteria-senilis.jpg Mammilaria-hahniana-f-lanata.jpg Mammilaria-bocasana-Fred.jpg

The last two photos are both mammilarias - kinda neat how varied they can get within the same genus :)

I think those are the most interesting cacti I’ve ever seen.

Aww, thank you! There were many more interesting ones, but some way out of my price range (I am still trying to find some Aztekium specimens, but they’re pretty rare in Japan and super expensive because of that)

You could’ve told me the last one is L. williamsii var Caespitosa and I wouldn’t have questioned it!

Are the first two’s larger broad leaves/spines flexible or are they rigid like a typical spine?

It might be mislabeled of course, but that’s what it was sold so me as, and the seller seemed pretty professional.

The spines on both tephrocacti are pretty thin and flexible - you can easily bend them with your fingers. I do love the variation with curly spines - haven’t seen one irl until today, so got it on the spot :)
