      I thought that only worked with minerals. Would it actually work on plastic?

        It’s a physical barrier I think down to virus size so as long at the plastic isn’t too small it should work. Minimum size of the membrane is 0.1nm we’ve ditched plastic bottles long ago.

      Most likely homes fed with natural sources (lake,spring) or well water instead of municipal water. Vast majority of homes in the US are fed by city/municipal services.

    Is it the pipes or the water? I buy my drinking water at tye store(using the reusable plastic jugs, though, so still plastic) but I know that’s usually just bottled tap water, too. Supposedly at least filtered.
