Brave ads are off by default, as is Brave wallet. If you want crypto from watching ads, you can do that. It’s a feature aimed at help keeping the lights on for the company, but in no way is the browser “riddled” with adware or crypto. Nor is it a mess.
As for Eich, the dude donated money 10 years ago for something he personally believes, and even though what he believes is utter and complete shit, it doesn’t affect the tech. Is one fucker really enough to condem the whole product and all the people working to provide for themselves and their families?
For me, no. If for you, yes, then just stop using it.
