In cherry. It’s mostly a copy of one my parents have, though they requested replacing three drawers with a swing door and movable shelves.

Cherry is good. Hardwood, but without the brittle of the higher janka rated woods. It also has that lovely color when oiled. Nice work.

They’re maple plywood with a cherry nosepiece glued on, held on shelf pins set in 1/4" holes drilled in the side stiles. It’s actually a pretty simple little cabinet.

Butt joints with biscuits.
