I went there early and actually succeeded in navigating through it to the end, despite the weather. Took a long time. Then later I had a conversation that revealed I did it out of order. “Oh, you’ve already found the spirit temple? Well then, next you need to find the master sword.” Cool bruh.

Went there and got fucked up constantly in the nonstop rain and thunderstorms. Stressed me immensely.

I explored this area early too. But, I had the thunderhelm and the froggy set already. So, it was kinda sparky and slippery, but doable. I found the final big sky Island first though, with its shrine and not much else until I unlocked the quests properly. There are so many treasure chests here though that you might be able to navigate pretty well just by sensor alone. By the way, monster fights in the rain are MUCH more fun with the thunder helm. So is fishing with lightning fruit.

Ooofff, and it even cost you multiple fairies. Those thunderstorms can be a real pain…

Spoiler: The earliest you can theoretically clear this section is directly after obtaining the “Regional Phenomena” quest, but you would have to find the right spot in the raging storm without any guidance (hint: map coordinates greatly help here) and then glide under the chamber that contains Mineru’s mask and ascend into it, to bypass the “10 heart container” door. You can also reach the chamber without even obtaining the Paraglider, but then the mask will say something like “now isn’t the right time” and won’t let you pick it up / progress the quest.

If you happen to have the Sheikah Sensor, there is a trackable shrine very close to the door. ;)
