In China, the government leases land to people for up to 99 years (it must be paid for), after that they get it back for free. It can also be reclaimed by various other, often forceful means. This does not classify as ownership.
At least one stat on this infographic is wrong. But this is the internet, I shouldnt expect anything.
The definition of a “home” here is what gives me pause. A mud hut that you’re not paying rent on might count as a “home”. Conversely, I ‘own’ my home in 'murica, but if I didn’t pay my taxes on it, the state would come and kick me out.
