No its was something else. It was genetic i understand and its kinda like when you have some newly healed skin its like white and sorta crumbly if you put it between your fingers and grind it a bit like

Op, There are like 5 types of psoriasis.
So if you look up pictures be aware of that. Sounds like the plaque kind. I would know.
there’s also something similar called seborrheic dermatitis

Is it Skin Tags?
Theres no discoloration, right? If it turns green it might be Leprosy which would be really bad.
If it’s just dry or flaky skin then apply some balm to it after you wash with soap and water.
