I am a little confused on how the whole system works. I am also trying to log in to the android Lemmy client however nothing I put in the instances field seems to work

    I was curious to understand how federation works with lemmy and this page ended up providing me with the information I was looking for.

    I’m still not sure how to open a post from another instance in my current instance though

      Paste the post url into the search field. If that doesnt work, you have to use the link behind the colorful fedilink icon.
