      I hope you are correct but I honestly doubt it.

      Humans have been treating other humans that can talk and be understood worse than their pets for as long as we have existed.

      I doubt this will change anything for many, many people.

        Hell, we could find out that cows are yelling “I wanna be prime meat!” All the time.

        The Tv series of Hitchhikers Guide to the galaxy had a scene showing exactly this
