minus-squarerumschlumpel@feddit.delinkfedilinkDeutscharrow-up7·edit-21 year agoDo you actually want to work as a cashier? If not, why do you want our society stuck in a state where such jobs need to be performed? Universal basic income and automate everything.
minus-squarerumschlumpel@feddit.delinkfedilinkDeutscharrow-up3·edit-21 year agoBeing a chashier is mind-numbingly boring. If you enjoy that kind of work, good for you, but I’d rather not. Sounds good. Too good to become true. If progress is not possible, we’re doomed anyway. Demographics and climate change will bite our collective ass.

I don’t work for the supermarket and I’m not beeping my own damn shopping. Not everyone wants a career or an interesting job. Many people just want to work some hours and earn some money and that’s fine.
