    Some companies just flat refuse the call if lines are busy like Sonys Playstation support line. Their advice? Just call periodically throughout the day and see if you get through.

    That’s when my paranoia wins. I was already prepared for the little maneuver taking 2 hours.

    I tried calling the IRS once. Left phone on desk for entire work day and no one got to me. Did it again next day. Same. Just gave up. They’re next level nipple twisters

    Of course, as a former customer service rep, I can tell you that a large percentage of your wait time was caused by other customers like yourself and their up-to-five-minute-long diatribes and complaints about the wait time.

    If people didn’t pointlessly and extendedly complain about wait times, then wait times (for everyone) would be much, much shorter.
