A tragedy occurred at the Swarzędz train station a few minutes past midnight. A freight train struck two teenagers, with a 14-year-old boy losing his life at the scene, and a 14-year-old girl sustaining serious injuries and being transported to the hospital.

Preliminary findings show that the 14-year-old girl was on the tracks of the platform for reasons that have not yet been explained. The 14-year-old boy tried to help her and was hit by a train himself. As a result of his injuries, he died on the spot. The girl with serious injuries was transported to hospital.
