    More and more, living with parents is no longer a loser thing, but a reality of survival under capitalism… yes i live with my mum… yes my point remains valid.

      Completely agree, the only reason I don’t is because I live with my partner, aka double earning household without kids, and we even though for a good while before commiting.

      Leaving your parents and living alone is economic suicide nowadays.

      Agreed. It’s not at all uncommon in other parts of the world and even in the west it’s getting impractical for many to afford even apartments with how elevated prices have gotten. The whole “basement dweller” insult needs to die. It’s not just lazy cringe-lords. It’s motivated people who’ve had some bad luck, it’s families, it’s people with illnesses and disabilities. It’s honestly on a similar level to calling things “retarded.” It’s not 1994 anymore. The world has changed.
