In 1993, a jury agreed with Kinder, awarding her $750,000 in actual damages and $78 million in punitive damages.

    One juror said of Domino’s, “They don’t care about public safety. They care only about the almighty dollar.”

    The founder and CEO of Domino’s, Tom Monaghan, ended the 30-minute guarantee, admitting that the multi-million-dollar verdict “was certainly the thing that put us over the edge.”
