Now with higher resolution (pixelfed seems to shrink tall images a lot)

If religious people understood the size of the universe … they still might be religious but they wouldn’t think their god is a petty thug

The bigger the universe, the bigger his godhood. The only question is, why on earth (or why in the whole universe) he should focus on a small unimportant species on a planet called earth?!

Because you1, the believer, are special. Of course the god of the universe has taken an interest in your life and is making sure you follow the rules so your score can be adequately tallied when they decide to kill you off. Never mind the kid getting flattened by a truck two blocks over, your favorite sports team has to put the ball in the hole and besides, the kid didn’t pray to not get hit by a truck so it’s his own fault, really.

In case it doesn’t come across as I intended, I’m not addressing TheProtagonist with “you” above.

Ok, can we just take the moment to appreciate that we are able to identify superclusters from a planet called Earth like that is just amazing that we know what it looks like. Genuinely, astrophysicists are some of the smartest people I think we have if we’re able to identify clusters and all planets from just earth
