California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a pioneer for LGBTQ+ rights who decades ago upset leaders in his own party when he defied state law and issued marriage licenses to same-sex couples, suggested Democrats were in the wrong in allowing transgender athletes to participate in female college and youth sports.
I have always hated Gavin, but even a broken clock is right twice a day I suppose.
Garbage comment. Transgender women have the right to participate in the sports that match their gender.
Women have a right to their own fair competition.
The entire reason we made women’s only leagues was so they had somewhere to compete against other women fairly.
Almost none of the major sports leagues have any rules specifically preventing women from participating. They simply cannot compete again men directly on a physical level at the top most level of competition.

Women’s sports need to only be for biological women in order for them to be fair.
As a cis woman, keep our names out of your mouth. More of us embrace trans people than not.
Yeah maybe the ones that don’t play any sports.
Of course you have no issue with something that has no direct effect on you as a person.
The women who play sports and who have lost out on scholarships or chances at the top level spots in the sport they have dedicated their lives to because of a trans athlete showing up in the final hour and trouncing them do absolutely take issue with it.
Good thing that doesn’t happen, unless said trans athlete has also been working hard

I also never really cared for the term “transphobia”. I’m not afraid of trans people. I think they are humans that deserve love and respect like anyone else. I just don’t agree with all their talking points and I don’t think they should have blanket access to every sports league just because they have deluded themselves into believing they are actually the same as biological women or men.
Yet you are afraid of them having equal rights due to bullshit nonexistent reasons, and are thus a transphobe
