What is this based on? A lot of these are HQd and owned by American entities. I understand the intention, but in globalised world starting point of a brand is hardly relevant
Anyone know of any bookshops?
I used to use Blackwells but they’ve bought recently by Waterstones who are owned by American venture capital.
All products made in China unfortunately.
That’s unfair, some are made in India. Must diversify.
Yep, and I’m not comfortable with promoting fast-fashion brands, as they are not sustainable.
Direct Alpin, Montane, La Sportiva among others are not.
Gotta look at who owns the companies as well. A German company owned by a Swiss holding company that is 60% owned by BlackRock is still American.
I find it funny that New Yorker is not murican
York is not murican also.
Yep, but it’s not called Yorker, right? If it was, it would be funny it’s not British.

This is cool, well done. Didn’t know intersport is swiss, that feels like it’s everywhere.
Wibra and Zeeman, aka Zebra.
… the label printer company or something else?
The North Face / Patagonia will be the most difficult for me to avoid, do you have alternatives ?
adidas…?
Adidas is not really comparable to those brands
Looks like Footlocker and Claire’s are on the boycott list now!
Cool!
