I have such a strong association with this label it’s actually ridiculous, even when I’ve not smoked a cigarette in years, and even before that we’d have had the grey packs since a long time as well (so no labels/marketing besides the black lung photo or the kid with cancer), the moment I see that fucking camel and that colour scheme my brain goes “hmm yes I’d love one thanks”.
It’s all good! I think I remember that in North America camel is more a budget option, whereas in Europe they’re an upper-mid level brand, not the best but also not the worst. I definitely know they vary the taste by region or even one country to the next. When I was younger there was an urban legend they burned hotter than other brands and so were better for your joints… Mostly used them for that and smoked roll ups for cigarettes until I could afford it… Also my older brother smoked these and had the cool merch from before advertising them was banned, they had by far the coolest marketing imo.
