Avowed has just released on PC, and while it is a damn good time so far, it's a little bit of a mixed bag on the Steam Deck. Here are our first impressions so far.

    Fuck I hate modern game UI. Just such an ugly mess of crap to fill the screen.

    Looks like one of those adhd joke videos where they play 7 different vids on top of each other.

    Definitely holding off for a while. Maybe by the time the first sale comes around they’ll have given the steam deck some love.

      It’s a UE5 game, as far as I know every UE5 game has rough performance, at least at launch. This one sounds better than most, but I’ll probably wait a couple years until it’s on sale and better optimized.

        Outer Worlds (UE4?) plays well on Deck. I’m confident they’ll get Avowed running well eventually.

          To be fair, that’s a 6 year old game. That’s a pretty long time in terms of hardware progression, basically every home console generation (with the exception of the switch) has been 5-6 years long.
