Can we please get back to Republicans just being people who I disagree with on just about every single topic? Why do they have to all be stupid, hateful, and toxic now?

Every Republican I know feels the need to be the loudest asshole in the room at all times. When did being an asshole become some kind of ideology?

Definitely started before Trump, with the loud, asshole Fox news pundits like Bill O’Reilly and Glenn Beck. Jon Stewart spoke out about it a lot and held a rally in 2010 called The Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear. Unfortunately sanity was not restored.
