BERLIN — A German court handed Elon Musk’s X a legal defeat, ruling that the platform must immediately provide researchers with access to data on politically related content ahead of the country’s Feb 23 election.
Is he going to claim that he is immune from such rulings as the president of the United States?
No, he’s just not going to comply. If he blatantly disregards the law in the US and gets away with it, why wouldn’t he try it everywhere else? Even if there will be real consequences in Germany, that will take time to work through the legal system, and the election he’s trying to steal is just weeks away.
I guess the system could just close twitter in the country until elections end as an emergency procedure alleging election manipulation. After the elections ended, we can argue whatever he wants.
Yeah i think if he just flat out refuses the order, the legal proceedings wont take very long. There is nothing to discuss so it can just be blocked immediately.
If an obviously Nazi social network has such an influence on elections, is democracy still a good system?
If an obviously Nazi social network has such an influence on elections, is democracy still a good system?
No, democracy is a terrible system. It’s just that all the alternatives are worse.
Yes, just without the Nazis.
If there were no Nazis, there there are still Russians, Chinese, North Koreans, Iranians or whatever the current enemy is.
And?
Apparently we should abandon democracy because criminals exist! The logic is flawless \s
