  • This is because neoliberalism is just oligarchy with the illusion of “democracy”. Like conservatism, it’s guaranteed to collude with corporations, concentrate wealth in the hands of the most psychopathic, and create the conditions for fascism to succeed.

Unfortunately the majority are so indoctrinated they can’t see the same patterns repeating in business and politics across all capitalist “democracies”. I mean the simple fact they all allow a domestic secret police to mass surveil everyone except themselves (for some reason, lol), and operate outside the rule of law, who can’t stop foreign or ultra wealthy bribery and corruption (for some reason, lol) as though those aren’t the greatest threat and attack vector for every democracy, should already tell you just how sick and delusional our society is.

  • It’s the same delusion and corruption from a neoliberal corporate-whore political class that led to every country growing dependent on US tech companies, and Chinese manufacturing. They represent corporations; not their constituents.

If they’d all committed to open source and domestic companies for support and infra, the compounding effect of tens of thousands of engineers across governments working on linux and other FLOSS products would have made everything significantly cheaper and more efficient for all of them in a matter of years, compared to paying a foreign tech company for everything in perpetuity… and that’s before you consider the multitude of other risks and vulnerabilities to national security.

  • Yeah, that’s just the economics of capitalist dictatorship, where the wealthy write the laws to benefit themselves.

The problem with Musk much worse than that; he has numerous cases of fraud, corruption and other shady dealings that he has already admitted would have put him in prison if Trump didn’t win and let him gut them via DOGE.

Then add all the debt recycling where he’s rolled up failed businesses into spacex, and all the dogfooding between like 10 companies who are artificially inflating each others revenues and valuations, and the fact he’s a paper-trillionaire means that this entire pyramid scheme is corrupt as fuck.

  • I mean, if you already fixed bugs or improved features, then you might as well raise a PR.

Vibe coding is an indication of low quality and longevity, with a higher likelihood of bugs, flaws, and vulnerabilities. Trust takes time to build, and I’m sure some vibe projects will turn out okay, but they will always require extra scrutiny as any idiot can ask an LLM to code them anything.
