ESPN has broadcast F1 in the U.S. since 2017 but its contract expires after the upcoming 2025 season.
An improvement over having to sail the seas for a race because ESPN decided it’s a great idea to use literally half the screen to show baseball stats/scores the entire race.
Can you not get F1TV Pro in the US? It’s all the races, all the events, multiple feeds, all the driver camera angles and a treasure trove of archived seasons that you can watch on demand.
Even though the price has increased recently, it’s much more worth it than any other TV sub
Yeah it’s available in the US. Like $85/year.
My only complaint with it is there’s no button to “start race from beginning” while the race is in progress. Sometimes I like to sleep in on Saturday or Sunday ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Half the price if you pay via India. Like via the Apple App Store with an India Apple account and an Apple Card from Amazon India
There is for me. When hitting play it prompts 2 options, one is to start from the beginning, the other is to go to the live timing
Huh, ok, maybe it’s different in the US, maybe I missed that.
Not that big a deal I guess—usually I’ll start it (live), hold up my hand to cover the top 90% of the TV (and mainly the score bug on the left), and hit the rewind button until it’s rewound to the beginning haha
So long as f1tv exists still. I do not want to give Netflix any money.
Any particular reason why?
Not one, many reasons. Like most things, not everything is for everyone.
The current setup with ESPN forces you to have cable, even if you pay for espn+ so anything better than that
Or F1TV, which is incredible. It has to be the best sports watching experience I’ve ever had
Was the stock spike on Jan 22nd after earnings based on the report or convenient timing for knowledge of this in advance? Capitalising on this potential news is already too late given the price of the stock and sell off from the CEO.
I would be interested if Netflix’s live streaming wasn’t awful.
