Looks like a Climber, but has no hook and nothing on the scales. There is a mark where there was a triangular loho.
minus-squaredual_sport_dork 🐧🗡️@lemmy.worldMlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·22 hours agoThat may in fact be a Climber “Small.” What is the length of its body? Early variants of the climber lacked the hook as does the smaller version of it which also lacks the toothpick/tweezers.
minus-squarevaionkoOPlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·22 hours agoIt’s 91mm. I guess it is a pre '85 Climber, with no tweezers, toothpick, sewing hole in the awl and hook. I’m already 3D printing plus scales for it and put in an order for a toothpick, tweezers and pen.
minus-squaredual_sport_dork 🐧🗡️@lemmy.worldMlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3·21 hours agoThat certainly sounds plausible. There were also apparently promotional variants of these which did not have the Victorinox cross logo printed on the scales, in preparation for being engraved or silkscreened with the customer’s logo or whatever.
