California-based clean energy startup Mote has launched its second biomass-to-hydrogen and carbon sequestration plant in Sacramento after having received a $1.2m grant from the US Forest Service, the California Department of Conservation and the California Department of Forestry.

    would be interesting if it would explain the process at all. Its like the undwear gnomes and starts with biomass and ends with negative carbon fuel.

      Yeah. The article definitely raises more questions than it answers. It utilizes 300k tons of forest residues, to sequester 450k tons of carbon, utilizing geologic sequestration (burying it), and makes hydrogen? That doesn’t really make sense.
