Edit: a bit of context: when I discovered LLMs the first time the first thing I did was try to play DnD with it. But that only lasted for 20 prompts. Can imagine what it is like with a paid subscription or a local model.
And yeah was imagining someone looking at server usage and noticing a peak thanks to some roleplaying community finding out about LLM for the first time lol.
I was playing with Bing AI (in reality it was ChatGPT) because I didn’t want to give ChatGPT my phone number. This was early 2023 and I told Bing to be the DM and told it that the setting is in a small tavern and I was a bard.
All in all it was actually a lot of fun once I got it to actually descibe and play along with actually fun interactions with “NPCs”. But haven’t done that since. Probably even better now. I don’t use LLMs much but I can imagine setting up one locally just to do this!

this made me laugh out loud. Imagine the millions of calculations it has to do for your roleplay.
Glad I was able to get a chuckle out of someone!

Who was a game master? 🤔
